Reasons
Since 2004, she has worked at the Torez City Center for Social Services for Families, Children, and Youth. After russia occupied the city in 2014, she sided with the occupying authorities and was appointed head of the center. Before russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she obtained russian citizenship. She played a direct role in the deportation of Ukrainian children to the russian federation, receiving reports from boarding schools under the Torez city administration. Her signature appears on most documents deciding the fate of those children.
Ms. Yemelyanova also actively helps the occupying authorities issue russian passports to Ukrainian children. As of May 2025, she had submitted information on 102 orphans living under occupation to secure russian citizenship for them.
In 2017, she received an award from major N. V. Kryuchenko of the so-called "Donetsk People’s Republic" (DPR) "militia" for her active work and efforts to prevent juvenile delinquency, as well as on the 3rd anniversary of the creation of the so-called state service for family and children of the DPR.
