As the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Buryatia, acting in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the russian federation of 12.03.2022 № 349 on the distribution of citizens from Ukraine among the subjects of the russian federation, is directly responsible for the policy of the russian federation on the forced displacement of citizens of Ukraine on the territory of the russian federation, namely for the illegal placement in the region of “refugees”, including children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, as of October 2022, the Government of the Republic of Buryatia has established three temporary accommodation centers for refugees from the so-called “L/DNR”: sanatorium and health camps “Baikalsky Bor” in the Baikal settlement of Yartsy (for 210 places) and “Rodnichok” on Lake Shchuchye in the Selenginsky district (for 190 places), as well as a hotel complex “Citi Park” in Ulan-Ude (for 88 places). In total - 488 beds. In addition, the local government has developed a procedure for integrating children and youth from the occupied territories into the educational and cultural space of russia.
