Znannya has its own regional offices in the TOT of Ukraine, implements memoranda of cooperation with the occupation authorities of the so-called DPR and LPR and implements federal and regional educational projects in the TOT of Ukraine. It is implementing the project of the educational programme "University Profile Educational Changes" of the Ministry of Education of the russian federation and the Ministry of Education and Science of the russian federation, which is aimed at the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children to russian regions.

From April to June 2023, Znannya held an all-russian military and patriotic educational campaign called Znannya.Heroes, including in the TOT of Ukraine. The campaign was aimed at raising awareness of schoolchildren, students of secondary vocational education and universities about the so-called "heroes of the armed forces", popularising military professions and achievements of the russian federation, as well as the history of russia. The organisers claimed the so-called "SMO" and the temporarily occupied Crimea to be among the most active participants from the regions. The lectures took place in schools, universities, cultural institutions, children's camps and other spaces. The speakers of the action were the so-called "heroes and participants of the SMO".
The chairman of the supervisory board of Znannya is the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergey Kiriyenko, who is also the chairman of the supervisory board of the State fund for support of participants of the so-called "special military operation" "Defenders of the Fatherland" and personally supervises the military unit "Soyuz", formed from members of the russian martial arts union under his control.

As instructors, the organization engages trained professionals with combat experience in the so-called "SMO" zone. A large network of DOSAAF clubs, schools and centers organizes training for citizens of pre-conscription and conscription age, as well as those already participating in hostilities.
It systematically organizes and conducts military sports events in the TOT of Ukraine, and publicly calls for military service under contract on its official website.
It officially cooperates with the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation, the United russia party, the All-russian socio-political movement People's Front for russia, the Moscow Regional Organization of Veterans and Security Forces, and many other federal institutions and public organizations whose activities are aimed at supporting the russian regime. Since 2016, DOSAAF of russia is a co-founder of the All-russian children's military-patriotic public movement "Yunarmia".
In August 2024, DOSAAF together with the Ministry of Defense of the russian federation prepared a draft law regulating the activities of DOSAAF. The document clarifies and expands the tasks of the organization, in particular, with regard to the training of fighters of the military. One of the key innovations is that the draft law provides for direct financing of the organization from the state budget, whereas now subsidies are provided, in particular, through the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Enlightment of russia.

Every year, the military-patriotic club "Rus" group "VIYUR" under the leadership of the reserve colonel of the FSB Alexander Vasilyevich Medvedev sends its students to the territory of the russian federation to participate in military field training. The program of the military field training includes, among other things, elements of hostage rescue and hand-to-hand combat, knife throwing and knife fighting tactics, assembling and disassembling weapons, airgun shooting, etc.
The organization regularly raises funds for the needs of the russian armed forces, including the purchase of electronic warfare equipment.
